The impact of legacy.
Our story began with William Henry Ballard, who believed in encouraging and achieving the best in everyone he met. Today we carry on his vision with top-quality services in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.

“It was always my grandfather's desire to encourage and achieve the best in people.”
Mr. Ballard was known in the community for his integrity, excellence and grace. He was Belmont's barber. For a young boy facing setbacks and discouragement, a visit to Ballard's Barber Shop was a refuge — a place to find inspiration and a sense of pride.
In 2005, Preston Wilson opened William Henry Salon in honor of his great-grandfather, William Henry Ballard. The salon has since grown into neighboring downtowns, reinvented Ballard's Barbershop on Main Street in Belmont and opened William Henry The Spa — the latest extension of Mr. Ballard's legacy of excellence.
Our team has a bright future ahead, with plans to keep growing and to develop future leaders in the field of cosmetology. When you visit William Henry, you're not just getting a new look — you're becoming part of a community dedicated to bringing out the best in you.
